Smart Accidental Alert and Location Tracking System Using Telegram Bot and GPS Technology

摘要

In this study, vehicle accidents remain a significant global threat, causing a considerable number of fatalities. In particular, India has the highest rate of road accident deaths due to the growing demand for cars in densely populated areas, leading to more accidents, particularly in areas without traffic signals. Furthermore, the lack of prompt medical assistance can contribute to death rates. To address this issue, there is a need to develop a system that can reduce death rates by sending alert messages to hospitals or family members to ensure that injured individuals receive immediate medical attention. Our project aims to detect accidents promptly and send alert messages, including the accident's location, to family members to facilitate swift and efficient medical assistance. We employed a Telegram Bot and NodeMCU to accurately determine the vehicle's location using GPS, and the accelerometer was calibrated appropriately to ensure high accuracy in detecting accidents. However, the system's reliability depends on internet connectivity and may encounter difficulties in areas with poor connectivity.
