Response Characteristic Analysis of a 10 DOF Full Car Model

Various models of cars such as quarter car, half car, and full car are employed to perform dynamic analysis. The present work focuses on a discretized full car model considering ten degrees-of-freedom. An analytical model is presented with multiple equations of motions to extract the response characteristics of the system. To evaluate the free response characteristics of a system with multiple degrees-of-freedom, a numerical and simulation analysis approach is used. The result includes the extraction of natural frequencies and response using MATLAB and ANSYS.
