Unravelling Challenges in the Arctic and India’s Response Strategy

The above statement by the US’ Secretary of State in May 2019 at AC Ministerial Meeting gives out that the view taken by the Trump administration on the Arctic is sceptical of re-emergence of great power rivalry and the Arctic becoming its playground. This speech was followed by the US Department of Defence taking out its Arctic strategy which also addressed the Arctic from the same prism of growing rivalry and challenges in the region.
