Link-Breakage Recovery Strategies for Tactical MANET Based on OLSR
摘要
Link breakages happen in Tactical MANET due to dynamic topology, leading to interruptions of the end-to-end path and loss of time-sensitive communication messages. The cut-edge problem and the loop issue are the main cause of poor performance of existing routing protocols. In this paper, we propose a Link Breakage Recovery mechanism to enhance the OLSR with LLN, called LBR-OLSR. Specifically, considering the cut-edge link can split the entire network, a connectivity protection mechanism is applied to judge a cut-edge link and maintain it in topology. We also present a loop suppression algorithm through LB messages and conflict node set, which reduces the time to determine a routing loop. Simulation in NS3 shows that LBR-OLSR can effectively handle the link-breakage problem and achieve significant performance gain in terms of packet delivery ratio and throughput.
