摘要

Numerous industries and geographical areas have had positive and harmful effects from the COVID-19 pandemic on industrial ecology. Global supply chain disruption is one of COVID-19’s most notable and immediate effects on industrial ecology. Production delays and shortages have resulted from disruptions in the supply of materials and components caused by lockdown procedures, travel restrictions, and facility closures. The pandemic has also culminated in consumer demand patterns and behavior modifications. Demand has significantly decreased in industries like travel, hotel, and entertainment, while it has surged in e-commerce, healthcare, and telephony. The distribution of resources and industrial processes have had to be adjusted due to these changes. The pandemic has highlighted the importance of these traits to industrial systems. Businesses are now compelled to review their supply chains, diversify their sources, and spend money on technology that improves adaptability and agility.
