This chapter aims to examine the socio-economic status of women entrepreneurs operating in the informal sector of the Indian economy. The socio-economic status of women entrepreneurs includes data collection on the standard of living, social status and security, and access to housing, medical facilities, and banking services. The respondents were located in the local marketplace of Gurugram and Faridabad, and interviews were conducted using a structured questionnaire. The data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics in MS Excel. The findings revealed that there is an improvement in the standard of living as earning levels have improved after venturing into a business. It allows women to spend on goods and services of their choice. Data also indicated that women are able to afford better healthcare and medical facilities than before, and hygiene and sanitation facilities have also improved.
