A Study on Measures Based on Overlapping Area for Interval Data

Interval data, a specific type of symbolic data, are increasingly widespread across various fields, particularly in the domain of data mining. Evaluating the dissimilarity or similarity between two intervals holds significant importance in these applications. This paper provides a comprehensive review of three distinct measures commonly employed for interval data.
