Development and Evaluation of an IoT-Based Gas Leakage Detection System Using Arduino Uno

The prime aims of the current study are to design, develop, and evaluate an Internet of Things (IoT)-based LPG leakage detection system utilizing the Arduino Uno microcontroller platform. The proposed system integrates various gas sensor detectors with Arduino Uno and establishes seamless communication with the IoT infrastructure to enable real-time monitoring and alerts. The study evaluates the system’s performance in detecting LPG leakage events and assesses its reliability, sensitivity, and responsiveness. Further we explore the potential applications in domestic, industrial, and commercial environments of the built system. Additionally, the paper investigates the system’s scalability, energy efficiency, and potential for integration into smart buildings and city infrastructures.
