Impact of Health Information Systems on Healthcare Service Quality in Supporting Non-communicable Disease Management in Kosovo

The service quality in healthcare sector seeks constant improvement for ensuring the first relief from disease and taking precautionary measures. Health information system brings the revolutionary changes in the service quality in healthcare sector that may reach to all the remote areas of Kosovo with required services for general public. The research motive indicates the connectivity of emerging technology in healthcare services through information systems that facilities for effective management of hospital service quality in Kosovo. Research activities start with the identification of health information systems input and output model, collection of data through primary and secondary sources, and analysis of data using the statistical tools and techniques. The research outcomes were summarized as the challenges of non-communicable disease management with the support of existing systems and technology. The significant findings include the positive impact of health information systems on healthcare service quality in supporting non-communicable disease management in Kosovo. The present study indicates the effectiveness of health information systems for better delivery of healthcare services to connect the general public through the efficient and economic healthcare facilities for all categories of people. The principal outcomes are well connected to the future research initiatives in the area of health informatics, data analytics in the healthcare sector.
