摘要

The profound technological revolution driven by artificial intelligence (AI) is impacting all aspects of business and personal life, including dispute resolution. AI has the potential to transform dispute resolution by reducing time and costs, enhancing predictability, and discouraging unmeritorious claims. However, concerns about decision-making, data access, and transparency persist. This article examines the implications of AI in the legal profession and international arbitration, focusing on its core characteristics, evolution through machine learning and data mining, and its possible impact on the legal profession and international arbitration. The paper addresses challenges facing AI in international arbitration, focusing on the limitations and implications of AI in three critical aspects: research and outcome prediction, the decision-making process, and policymaking. The paper concludes that while AI is rational and unbiased, understanding its predictions and lack of clear explanations raise concerns. The risks of perpetuating biases and the absence of emotional intelligence make the full replacement of humans doubtful. AI is more likely to assist arbitrators and lawyers, providing valuable insights, but human input remains crucial for accuracy and addressing legal complexities.
