GIS-Based Analysis of Water Integrity Differences Within the Madurai Region

This present study is mainly concerned with the variations of physicochemical parameters of groundwater samples from different areas of the Madurai region due to different land use and monsoon seasons. Groundwater samples were collected from 40 sample points in and around Madurai city. 14 parameters were considered for the study and physicochemical analysis was done for collected samples. Sampling was done for the monsoon season. Thematic mambos. The study was prepared by visual interpretation of IKONOS satellite imagery using ArcGIS to interpret the water quality index in graphical form. The relationship between Variation in parameters and land use change is interpreted using Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software.
