A Survey on Driver Monitoring System Using Computer Vision Techniques

Drivers are prone to accidents due to distractions and diminished activity. The driver monitoring system (DMS) collects observable data on the driver and assesses how well they can handle dynamic driving responsibilities. This review suggests a computer vision, and machine learning-based in-cabin DMS with driver activity, sleep detection, gaze estimate and emotion identification, among other features, is the subject of this study. The proposed system will look at the driver's attention and cognitive states and provide visual and audio alerts to warn the driver and bring the driver's attention back to the road.
