Honey, a time-honored natural sweetener steeped in traditional medicinal practices, is gaining recognition for its potential therapeutic benefits within the domain of reproductive health. Honey offers antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. Moreover, honey’s anti-inflammatory properties exhibit promises in mitigating chronic inflammation. Additionally, its antimicrobial properties present a protective shield against infections that may contribute to complications in reproductive health. Focusing on specific reproductive disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and uterine fibroids, this review underscores how honey potentially aids in managing these conditions. Furthermore, the review sheds light on honey’s potential benefits in promoting fertility and enhancing outcomes in assisted reproductive technologies (ART). Its capacity to enhance sperm quality, mitigate male infertility factors, and support female reproductive health highlights honey’s potential as an adjuvant therapy in infertility treatments. In conclusion, honey’s diverse therapeutic properties present an exciting prospect for its integration into the management and prevention of reproductive disorders.
