An Architecture for Realization of Methodology Digital Forensics Investigation from Practical Point of View DFIP: A Requirement Analysis

Due to sophisticated cybercrimes, a digital forensics investigation must follow a strong methodology and corresponding software tools to be effective. The preparation of computer expertise is a complex process, requiring the knowledge and assessments of a number of experts. This activity of expert-investigators can be supported by a software system for preparing digital expertise. The paper analyzes the functional requirements that such a system must satisfy and present a functional architecture to facilitate the preparation of digital expertise, following the previously developed methodology DFIP—Digital Forensics Investigation from Practical Point of View.
