摘要

The fields of nanomedicine and personalized medicine have gained significant interest in advancing cancer treatment. The heterogeneous characteristics of cancer pose challenges to conventional therapies, limiting their effectiveness. Additionally, several components of the tumour microenvironment create physiological barriers that impede drug effectiveness. In this scenario, currently budding nanotechnology has brought about the advent of personalized medicine into the era of targeted therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment. Personalized medicine operates on a tailored, individualized approach to determine the precise drug and dosage for each patient. Meanwhile, nanomedicine harnesses advanced nanotechnology tools to enhance both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of cancer treatment. The synergy between nanotechnology and personalized medicine is evident across various fronts. Nanotechnology plays a pivotal role in uncovering biomarkers, refining molecular diagnostics, revolutionizing drug discovery, and improving drug delivery which are crucial elements not only for personalized medicine but also for effective cancer management. Ultimately, personalized nanomedicine facilitates great promise for early cancer detection and treatments that offer hope for scientists in their quest to discover viable solutions for curing cancer.
