摘要

Cancer stem cells (CSCs) constitute a subset of cells endowed with the remarkable abilities of self-renewal, proliferation, and differentiation. Recognised as a promising therapeutic target across various cancers such as prostate, colon, breast, ovarian, and colon cancers, CSCs exhibit diverse biomarkers and participate in intricate signalling cascades crucial for the onset and progression of the disease. This review encapsulates recent strides in nanomedicines and approaches to cancer treatment, emphasising their capacity to selectively target cancer stem cells by disrupting the biomarkers and signalling cascades inherent to CSCs.
