Cancer Nanomedicines in the Clinic: Coming of Age
摘要
Cancer is one of the diseases in which multimodality treatment is required. Despite the advances in the management strategies, improvement in therapeutic index is still an important concern. Nanotechnology has emerged as a new approach with its advantage of improved as well as selective drug delivery. In recent years, many cancer nanomedicines have been approved for clinical use, and many others have reached the stage of clinical trials. In this chapter, we will be predominantly focusing on cancer nanomedicines, which have moved from research laboratories to the clinic and are currently being used for management of cancer patients. We will also briefly discuss recent advances in the field of cancer nanomedicine.
