Study on Corrosion Behavior of 316L Stainless Steel with Different Microstructure Circulated in Cooling Water with Different Chloride Ion Concentration

Element chlorine deposition may lead to serious corrosion and perforation risk of heat exchanger tube bundle. It is necessary to clarify the applicability of commonly used heat exchanger tube bundle materials in element chlorine environment. The corrosion test and electrochemical test of 316L stainless steel with different microstructure were carried out under the simulated conditions of typical heat exchangers. The safety Cl− critical concentration of circulating cooling water was analyzed by in situ electrochemical experiment and immersion experiment, combined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and other analytical means. The results show that the corrosion degree of the substrate surface of the stainless steel samples after different heat treatment is different in the circulating water with different chloride ion concentrations. Relatively speaking, the corrosion degree of the sensitized sample is the most serious, followed by the solid solution state, and the original state is the lightest.
