摘要

The tools for network simulators enable analysis of network design characteristics. One of the tools that researchers frequently use to examine the properties of network design based on wireless sensor networks is the NS-2 network simulator (Simulation And Performance Evaluation Of Wsn Based Architecture For Animal Health Monitoring Using Ns2 Dr. Ankit Bhavsar, Dr. Harshal Arolkar) Network Simulator (Version 2), a simple event-driven simulation tool, has been helpful in examining the dynamics of communication networks. Both wired and wireless network services and protocols (including TCP, UDP, and routing algorithms) can be simulated by NS2. The features and functioning of wireless sensor network-based architecture are frequently examined by researchers using the NS-2 network simulators (Introduction To Ns2, Second Edition, Teerawat Issariyakul And Ekram Hossain, Springer). A vital component of the forest ecology is wild animals. The ecosystems found in forests are very biodiverse, supporting a large range of plant and animal species. Numerous of these species are rare and only exist in certain woodland areas. The fastest-growing urbanization plays a significant role in dwindling forest reserves in the modern era. In such a situation, it is more crucial than ever to protect a variety of endangered species by maintaining and monitoring the environment's vegetation and wild animals. Wild animals in forests must deal with a variety of issues, including habitat degradation, disease, harm, car accidents, crossing the forest boundary, falling into wells, etc. Such circumstances frequently result in the death of a wild animal. The wild life ecology and the rapid decline of the wildlife census have an impact. We need to implement an automated tracking, monitoring, and alert system that cares for wild animals around-the-clock in their habitat in order to address the concerns with wild animals. The WSN-based architecture concept for protecting wild animals is the subject of this paper's preliminary performance investigation. By employing measures like packet delivery statistics, network throughput, and end-to-end delay, we examine the simulation model's performance.
