AI in Mechanical Design: Generate Specific Components

After centuries of consistent research and standardization of methods, in a few decades from now, computer-aided design with artificial intelligence (CA-AI) will become a tool for every design engineer. The new design requirements related to shapes, durability, NVH, materials, feasibility, costs, safety in operation, recycling of components and materials, the large number of manufacturers, etc., have led to an increased number of standards that must be imposed. Most of all those standards need to be satisfied before manufacturing phases. AI comes with totally new methods for research and unastonished results, but feasible only if we have a previous good result for training of models. The current paper shows a few practical applications of CA-AI with innovative methodology applied in mechanical design.
