From Sea to Table: A Blockchain-Enabled Framework for Transparent and Sustainable Seafood Supply Chains

In the age of technology, seafood should clearly be an essential part of health. Seafood contains important nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals and has many health benefits. However, maintaining the safety and security of seafood has become a difficult issue. This paper presents “Sea to Table,” a solution for building a transparent and stable product using the power of the Ethereum blockchain. All key steps in the process, including harvesting, processing, shipping, and distribution, are digitally recorded and stored in a safety manner. This immutable data ensures accuracy and reliability, enabling stakeholders and consumers to verify the origin, performance, and sustainability of seafood products. Using the distributed and immutable blockchain, the system can monitor and record in real time process of seafood from the source to the customer’s desk. The use of blockchain allows consumers to have accurate and reliable information about the history, processing, and environmental impact of the seafood they eat. This ensures the authenticity of the seafood, good information, and handling. Therefore, this new solution can increase reliability, improve food safety, and contribute to the long-term health and sustainability of seafood.
