Multi-DoF Multi-joint Leg-Like X-Structure

The X-structure/mechanism is a basic component or design motif which can take different variant forms such as a quadrilateral, a triangle form with one side open, or others. The modelling of these structures can all have similar nonlinear forms in stiffness or damping. The advantages of different variants lie in that the overall resulting structure can be more compact and flexible in response to space requirements, and may also produce multi-degree or multi-joint systems.
