Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) is gaining popularity among cornea specialists and for many is the surgical treatment of choice for corneal endothelial dysfunction [1]. A learning curve is expected for surgeons who have never done endothelial keratoplasty (EK) before or even for surgeons who are in the transition period from Descemet’s Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK) [2, 3].
