Securing the Internet of Things: AI-Powered Threat Detection and Safety Measures

The Internet of Things (IoT) connects physical and virtual objects through sensors and software, enabling data exchange over the Internet. While it enhances our lives with personalized services and seamless communication, IoT is vulnerable due to weaknesses in wireless technology. They become prime targets for cyber threats and safety concerns. This paper presents a comprehensive approach to address these challenges, combining the power of artificial intelligence (AI) with state-of-the-art threat detection and safety measures for IoT. AI can be harnessed to detect and thwart cybersecurity attacks within the IoT ecosystem with the use of advanced AI algorithms for real-time threat identification, classification, and mitigation. Additionally, safety measures are also investigated that protect IoT devices from cyber threats and ensure the safety of users and the environment in which these devices operate. This paper offers a systematic framework for securing the Internet of Things, emphasizing the importance of proactive threat detection and preventive safety measures. It also highlights AI's role in providing adaptive, intelligent responses to emerging threats and unsafe conditions. The proposed approach enhances the security of IoT systems and contributes to the safety and well-being of individuals and communities.
