In modern era ethnomedicinal plant shows very important role in pharmacology and therapeutics remedies. Medicinal plant has bioactive compounds that have lots of medicinal property used in drug development and its discovery. Due to high demand on world levels and low success rate of these drugs development is very hard and expensive. To solve this problem researcher have attentive on drug development and drug discovery from bioactive molecule. Several product plant bioactive compound-based drugs have been introduced in market. These drugs are used in diabetes type 2, Alzheimer, malaria, cancer, HIV, neuro-degradative, and so on. This chapter summarizes how bioactive molecule is used in development and drug discovery, challenges of drugs development, its application on disease, and future prospective.
