Utilization of Soft Assets: Case Studies

This chapter set out a comparative case analysis of how soft assets are evaluated and used in projects by the case study cities (Bhubaneswar and Nagpur) between the proposal stage and implementation stage, including desktop analysis, data review and in-person interviews. In addition, nodes which influence the creation of value and the actual actions taken by cities are examined. This chapter also describes examples of this value creation process using visual mapping with reference to activity, objective, input, output and consequence. Community engagement and using consultations to improve the quality of communications are also reviewed based on survey results conducted during the research.
