We then delve deeper into two distinct methods: utilizing movable parts within the antennaAntenna and leveraging lenses to manipulate the beam path. The chapter further investigates the exciting potential of metasurfaces, engineered materials capable of deflecting and shaping electromagnetic wavesElectromagnetic waves to achieve beam steeringBeam steering. Additionally, the chapter also examines frequency-selective surfacesFrequency Selective Surface (FSS), another innovative approach using patterned structures to achieve beam control. Finally, the chapter concludes by summarizing the unique advantages and limitations of each method, highlighting their potential contributions to diverse WLAN applications.
