Task-Specific Gait Training

  • Yang-Soo Lee

摘要

Task-specific training refers to training that uses gait itself to improve gait. For training individuals with severe impairments, external supports may be needed, such as robots, body-weight support systems, and assistance from other healthcare providers. Expensive equipment may also be required, and such training can place a physical burden on both people with gait disabilities and healthcare providers. Moreover, the superiority of task-specific training over other gait training methods remains unclear.
