Intelligent Flow Measurement and Control on Agricultural Channels Using the HSM Gate System

Intelligent control has a wide range of applications and great potential in the field of agricultural irrigation. In this study, a horizontal measuring sliding gate (HMS) and an accompanying control system were developed for achieving the whole process of flow measurement and control in agricultural irrigation. The automatic gate is used as the core equipment, and an intelligent group control system is added to the on-site channel, including the monitoring of gate opening and water level parameters, and the accurate measurement of overflow flow in real time based on the modified hydraulic radius and magnitude analysis. Finally, through the numerical simulation of the pressure state of the embedded gate, the model of gate safety and flow is constructed to achieve the automatic control of irrigation flow.
