Fixed-Time Leader-Following Consensus for Multi-agent Systems

This paper focuses on the fixed-time (FXT) leader-following consensus for multi-agent systems (MASs). Firstly, a novel FXT stability theorem is presented to simplify the design of control protocol and decrease the consumption of computation resources compared with the existing results. Secondly, based on the developed FXT stability theorem and auxiliary inequality techniques, a detailed consensus analysis is given to establish sufficient conditions for achieving leader-following consensus within a FXT. Further, the upper bound of settling time (ST) is estimated. At last, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems are utilized to verify the correctness of theoretical analysis and the feasibility of control protocol.
