摘要

In the past decade, health care has undergone significant transformations driven by technology and the growing emphasis on individual responsibility for health. Health literacy and Health 5.0 are essential pillars in the digital wellness paradigm, promoting informed decisions and responsible citizenship. People with the knowledge and skills to understand health information can enhance their well-being and adopt self-care behaviors. Additionally, data governance practices in the digital wellness paradigm facilitate informed decision-making by ensuring ethical and effective data management throughout its lifecycle. The paper explores the interplay between Health 5.0, active population aging, preventive health measures, and health literacy as instruments to improve the quality of life, in particular for senior adults. The BE4YOU project ( https://BE4YOU.agilefactor.pt ) is presented as a case study designed to align with the Health 5.0 framework. Conducted in Portugal, the project’s goal is to support individuals across their lifespans in maintaining health and well-being. This is accomplished through data collection, which is then processed using analytical algorithms and AI to determine health risk indicators. The project aims to raise social awareness about individual health and well-being by engaging health-care professionals from diverse fields.
