摘要

Bibliometric analysis of Manifest Destiny is part of American exceptionalism. This study aims to determine the development of research with the theme of Manifest Destiny in the last 10 years from 2013 to 2022. The research method uses qualitative research with a literature review. Collecting data by accessing journals on Scopus obtained 79 articles with high citations within a span of 10 years from 2013 to 2022. Then analyze the data using the Vosviewer application. The results showed that there were 70 journals that studied Manifest Destiny from 2013 to 2022 with the largest contributing country being the United States which was the originator of this idea. Environmental Education Research is the journal most discussed by scientists. It was found that the 2010 range of discussions tended to be high politics which is directly related to the war, power, and empire nodes, and then the 2016 range and above tended to low politics, namely legitimacy, debate, order, nature & education. In international relations theory, the United States’ trend of using smart power is the guideline for scientists to discuss this Manifest Destiny.
