Traffic Analysis and Signal Timing Optimization of Typical Suburban Intersections

The traffic flow and traffic flow at suburban intersections are complex and difficult to control. Effective analysis of traffic at intersections and continuous optimization of signal timing is important means to ensure orderly traffic at suburban intersections. Taking the typical Zijin intersection at the south end of Hefei as an example, the video monitoring system at the intersection carries out traffic survey and data analysis on vehicle speed, vehicle density, delay, etc., and designs a more reasonable signal timing scheme for the suburban intersection, which can effectively improve the traffic efficiency at the peak hours of the intersection. The research method and design scheme can promote the traffic research of similar suburban intersections and have certain reference significance for alleviating traffic congestion on suburban roads.
