Large-Scale Global Optimization
摘要
With the development of computing capability and optimization technologies, research on optimization has shifted from simple optimization problems to complex optimization problems. One of the challenges posed by this complexity is the dimensionality disaster, which is caused by increases in the number of variables. Large-scale global optimizationLarge-scale global optimization (LSGO) problems, which usually contain more than 1000 variables, exist in many applications, e.g., large-scale power system design, vehicle routing problems, genetic identification, inverse chemical kinetics problem, and so on. This chapter introduces the definition of large-scale optimization problems, some classical algorithms, and some discussion of LSGO.
