摘要

India has a great legacy of the education system, the world’s first residential university, Nalanda was established in the thirteenth century. Till last year, 1218 Indian universities of different types are imparting knowledge. National Education Policy 2020 is going to create new opportunities for domestic and international students to earn degrees through India’s National Digital University. Indian universities are recognized worldwide and the value of the Indian education system promoted India as the 7th most represented country in the rankings of world universities. The university ranking has the power to attract the best and brightest students from India as well as abroad. The National Institute of Ranking Framework used quantitative methods to rank the universities. This paper focuses on university rank prediction based on the top five highly correlated dimensions of any educational institute/university. The five dimensions are Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Perception (PR). 2016–2023 data on university ranking is used for the prediction of university rank. The various machine learning regression algorithms and neural network algorithms are used and tuned to get an accurate prediction. The model is deployed on the flask server and a user interactive interface is created for prediction.
