The idea of the InstaWorkshop is to continue conversation that started in workshop settings in the online domain. The InstaWorkshop method is like an audio-visual sticky note to capture community voices or it could also be described, as a collaborative knowledge creation approach. Community outreach and engagement are driven through creativity in these collaborative cellphilms. For any social innovation or community engaged storytelling project, transformation is a key element in defining the moment of change. The post-production phase or editing phase is at the heart of this as participants can reflect on the video material and understand how they their decisions shape their stories. Theoretically the InstaWorkshop as cellphilm and participatory video, drawing upon the reflexive nature of collaborative storytelling with mobile devices.
