Antifungal Agents and Resistance
摘要
Antifungal resistance in animals is an important zoonotic health threat. The indiscriminate use of antifungal agents has led to the emergence and spread of resistant strains, which may be passed from animals to humans via direct contact or the food chain. Thus, understanding the antifungal agents and their resistance mechanisms can help to guide the treatment of fungal zoonoses. The chapter will elucidate the important antifungal agents and their resistance mechanisms and briefly discuss the current modalities used to detect antifungal resistance.
