Research on the Spatial Distribution Relationship Between Suzhou Cultural Heritage and Tourism Based on Data Mining

Suzhou, as a city with a long history in China, has rich cultural heritage resources. With the rapid development of tourism, how to develop tourism while protecting cultural heritage has become an important issue. This study uses data mining methods to conduct an in-depth exploration of the spatial distribution relationship between cultural heritage and tourism in Suzhou. First, we collected data on cultural heritage and tourism in Suzhou and processed it using methods such as spatial visualization analysis, spatial relationship analysis, and spatial cluster analysis. The results show that Suzhou’s cultural heritage and tourism show obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics. Through Spearman correlation analysis, we found that there is a weak positive correlation between the two. In addition, we also found an imbalance between cultural heritage protection and tourism development in some areas of Suzhou. This study provides valuable reference for cultural heritage protection and tourism development in Suzhou and also demonstrates the potential of data mining methods in geospatial research.
