This study delves into the intricate nuances of user-user networks derived from movie viewing histories and associated ratings, examining how alterations in edge criteria shape these networks. Two pivotal parameters are established: the count of mutual movie viewings and the disparity in film ratings. As these parameters undergo variations, the attributes of distinct networks are juxtaposed. Intriguingly, the analysis uncovers a pronounced tendency: networks tend to exhibit analogous behaviors when the edge count is strategically limited to roughly threefold the quantity of nodes, hinting at the spontaneous birth of akin network architectures. Yet, amidst these revelations, an engrossing aberration surfaces—the rich club coefficient. This tantalizing observation, shrouded in enigma, beckons a deeper dive.
