Research on the Influential Factors of Accuracy Improvement in aPLI Dynamic Calibration

摘要

Since 2022, aPLI has become the most advanced legform test surrogate which is applied by an increasing number of research institutes for evaluating the lower limb protection performance in a vehicle–pedestrian crash. As a newly introduced item, the study of its usage and certification for monitoring stability and repeatability is continuously ongoing. In this paper, based on the practical situation in the laboratory, four controllable and common factors were raised. In accordance with the methodology of the orthogonal experiment design, the calibration results from the critical nodes of the orthogonal matrix were analyzed by using range and variance ways, respectively. The most influential parameters were found, which could provide a reference for improving the precision and stability in the dynamic calibration process.
