Blockchain—Enhanced Multi-factor Authentication for Secure Electronic Voting
摘要
The traditional electoral system is facing various challenges ranging from physical voting in designated polling places to the existence of risks related to fraud, remote voting, or disability problems, and functioning as it takes time to address these issues. This research work proposes a new electronic voting system (EVS), which integrates multi-factor for delivery verification. Utilizing facial recognition technology and email and OTP verification, the initiative aims to transform the voting experience by providing citizens with a safe, efficient, and convenient way to exercise their right to vote has been implemented. By using facial recognition, our system provides a reliable method of voter identification, ensuring accuracy and relevance during the verification process. Combined with email OTP authentication, it establishes a multi-layered authentication approach by greatly reducing the fraudulent activities such as popular voting or impersonation. The proposed EVS not only facilitates the public voting process but also ensures the security and integrity of the voting process. It addresses the limitations of the traditional electoral system, making it more inclusive, convenient, and resistant to fraudulent practices.
