Decentralized File Storage System Using IPFS and Blockchain

摘要

This research work presents a decentralized file storage system leveraging the synergy of blockchain and the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). The project comprises four integral modules: blockchain, IPFS, payment, and user authentication. The blockchain module ensures the integrity and transparency of transactions, IPFS provides a decentralized and redundant storage infrastructure, the payment module enables secure cryptocurrency transactions, and the user authentication module facilitates a robust login/signup system. This research study details the technical limitations of each module, including design choices, implementation details, and interaction protocols. Furthermore, the system’s architecture, depicted through master class diagrams and use case diagrams, is elucidated. Finally, this study concludes with insights into the challenges faced, and suggestions for advancing the prototype. This decentralized file storage system represents a pioneering approach to secure and transparent file storage, poised to revolutionize data management in the digital age.
