Spell Checker Using Norvig Algorithm for Gujarati Language

The spelling checker approach is planned to validate and rectify incorrectly spelled words by providing a list of alternative vocabulary that are more related to the erroneous phrase. Currently, English language spell checkers are well established. This Paper examines the establishment of a spell checker for Gujarati language, using the Norving spell checker algorithm. Gujarati is the most populous language in India. By the number of native speakers as of 2007, it ranks 26th among the most frequently spoken languages worldwide. Our approach identifies a misspelled Gujarati word, it will offer the subsequent nearest correct word using Argmax c ∈ candidates P(c|w) approach. This spelling corrector achieves 80 or 90% accuracy at a processing speed of at least 10 words per second. A total number of 16,937 distinct Gujarati Language words have been used in this research approach.
