Circular Economy Practices in Manufacturing Organization: Analysis of Enablers

Circular economy works on philosophy of repair, refurbish, recycle, and reuse. It emphasizes recycling existing items and giving them as much time as feasible for repairs and renovations. This extends the lifespan of the products. Given that it decreases waste, stimulates the economy, and emphasizes environment friendly products, it is crucial for sustainable development. Authors of current research paper have analysed the enablers of circular economy in manufacturing organizations. Further to categorize the factors authors have used best worst methodology (BWM). By extending the useful life of products, the circular economy attempts to reduce waste, save resources, and promote sustainability. Circular economy practices stresses on the reuse and repurposing of materials and products as well as designing goods for lifespan, repairability, and recyclability. Key enablers identified from current study are awareness of CE; technologies knowledge; legislative and consumer demand on CE; managerial readiness to develop products or brands that utilize CE; sustainable manufacturing practices; decrease in product costs; employment expansion and capital investment prospects for CE; connections; ESR policy.
