摘要

This study examines the wear performance of jute-banana fiber hybrid polymer composites with and without a water-repellent coating. Experimental tests were conducted using ASTM standards and a pin-on-disk machine with steel as the counterpart. Parameters such as sliding distance, applied load, and sliding speed were considered for wear analysis. Numerical simulations were performed in ANSYS, and the results were compared with experimental findings, showing a good correlation. The composites with a water-repellent coating exhibited lower wear compared to those without a coating, indicating the coating's effectiveness in reducing wear. This research provides insights into the wear behavior of jute-banana fiber hybrid polymer composites and establishes a correlation between experimental and numerical results. The findings contribute to the development of more reliable materials for wear-resistant applications.
