A Review of Optimization Methods in Laser and Abrasive Jet Manufacturing Methods

摘要

Based on the emerging manufacturing processes, namely laser beam and abrasive jet machining, the present paper is providing a compressive analysis on optimization techniques used by various researchers in this field. The advanced optimization techniques play an important role. Nowadays various researchers have put effort by using the artificial neural networks, TOPSIS method, particle swarm and genetic algorithm optimization techniques, etc. This evaluation of unfamiliar machining processes using numerous kinds of optimization strategies is included in the present review in one area in a very useful manner for beginner and advanced researchers. This paper provides many future research directions on laser beam and abrasive jet machining. It is worth mentioning that there is a need to find future prospective for these machining processes. The optimal parameters for laser beam machining and abrasive jet manufacturing enhance the performance of the process. The latest and state-of-the-art studied are considered for present literature review based on the literature available in reputed databases.
