Recent Progress in Microarray and its Role in Genomics

The microarray is a recent technology used to combat cancer. It assists in the development of pharmaceutical strategies for treating illnesses such as oral lesions. Microarrays are useful for testing the prevalence of a certain marker in tumors and for assessing huge amounts of material, both new and previously recorded. Until recently, the utilization of microarrays in dentistry has been limited. However, this may change as the technology becomes more readily available and cost-effective. In this chapter, we will go over the several DNA chip (microarray) methods and uses.
