Genomics Data Analysis Techniques in Bioinformatics

Genomic data analysis is very useful for understanding critical computational raw data. Using current genomic technology, a single biological experiment generates millions of data points. The generated data is straining bioinformatics pipelines due to the widespread use of these technologies. Because of this, our understanding of how the genome works is becoming less based on data and more on analysis. Only until de-novo whole-genome shotgun sequencing and annotation are achieved are a deep organizational study and comprehension of the whole landscape of a genome feasible. Genomic resources including high-density SNP genotyping arrays, whole genome reference sequences, and sequenced genotype are being created for a variety of projects. The scientific community will have access to these materials, which will provide them strong tools to use in identifying the genetic elements that control complex phenotypes.
