Nano-biosensor Applications for Water Quality Monitoring
摘要
The process of industrialization and urbanization has led to a rise in the quantity of pollutants present in water bodies, degrading the overall quality of water. Both conventional laboratory-based analytical equipment and cutting-edge sensor technologies, such as nano-biosensors, have become more prevalent in order to address the need for regulatory measures in environmental pollution management and early detection. The advancements in nanotechnology and sensors have played a crucial role in detecting environment pollutants. The incorporation of nanotechnology enhances the transduction process, making it more cost-effective, durable, reproducible, and selective. By utilizing a recognition nanomaterial, the biosensor detects an analyte, and a transducer transforms this signal into one that can be understood. This chapter provides a concise overview of the use of nano-biosensors for water quality monitoring in environment.
