摘要

Micropropagation has proven to be effective in rapidly multiplying plantlets in a short time and can produce disease-free seedlings and secondary compounds. Besides the advantages, this method still has some limitations, such as the possibility of in vitro microbial contamination (fungi and bacteria) that grow and inhibit the growth of plants because of using the nutrient solution in the culture medium. In addition, in order to have an ideal medium for the growth and development of plants, sterilized media are important. The preparation of the culture media must go through many stages, not only time-consuming labor but also the cost of power for the autoclave. Moreover, in vitro culture still has unresolved limitations such as yellow leaf, deciduous, browning, and vitrification, leading to changes in morphology, physiology, abnormal anatomical structure, plantlet degradation, deformity, etc. These abnormalities greatly affect the multiplication coefficient as well as the growth and development of plants in the greenhouse. The chapter aims to solve the outstanding problems of Chrysanthemum and Lang Bian ginseng cultured in vitro. This is a completely new research orientation in the world as well as in Vietnam. The results of the study will contribute to a new research direction in plant micropropagation.
